Trevor Timm at The Electronic Frontier Foundation--Defending Your Rights in the Digital World--has an important piece that is definitely worth reading if you're concerned about the use of drones w/in the United States and abroad (and if you're not, you should be). There's even a map to find out if your local police have been keeping their drones on the down-low from you and your neighbors:

  1. 30,000 drones flying over head watching everything we do; what's the big deal? The NDAA did give the president the power to indefinately detain American citizens simply on the basis of suspision of terrorism, but President Obama promised not to use that power. And I'm sure the next elected president will be just as kind. So, come on, stop worrying about such stuff. Hey aren't they picking the new American Idol soon?

  2. Regarding striking down the ban of domestic dissemination of government propaganda, Homer Simpson (as he so often has) proves to be a prophet.

  3. repeal of Glass Steagall . . . NDAA . . . "striking down the ban of domestic dissemination of government propaganda" . . . boy, I sure am glad I vote for Democrats and not those low-down, dirty-rotten Republicans!

If we could get all the Supreme Court Justices to promise not to die in the next four years, I could almost be persuaded to vote for Mitt (heck, maybe even Ron Paul)--at least then the Liberals would squawk when our civil liberties were being quashed.

PS--love Ben Franklin and Homer in the same comment section--very cool
